Welcome to Mija Grown — a woman-owned CBD topical and botanical self-care company founded by Melinda Wetzel.

At Mija Grown, our journey began with something deeply personal: family, compassion, and a passion for helping others discover new ways to care for themselves.

With over 18 years of experience in pharmacy, including pharmaceutical compounding, I developed a deep appreciation for ingredients, formulations, and the importance of thoughtful product development.

For more than a decade, I’ve also dedicated time to researching and learning about topical CBD and its potential role in personal wellness.

But my passion goes far beyond professional experience.

My family’s journey through significant physical challenges, surgeries, and military service inspired me to explore botanical approaches to everyday self-care. My husband has undergone multiple back surgeries and a neck fusion, and our son is a disabled veteran who served in Afghanistan. These experiences shaped my commitment to creating products with care, purpose, and compassion.

That’s why I created Mija Grown.

I wanted to combine my pharmacy background, compounding knowledge, and passion for botanical ingredients to offer thoughtfully crafted CBD topicals that fit naturally into people’s self-care routines.

Today, Mija Grown offers handcrafted CBD salves, luxurious whipped shea butters, and aromatic bath soaks inspired by nature and the relaxing beauty of the tropics.
